AP Studio Art Exhibition

The AP Studio students hosted an art exhibition to celebrate and showcase the works of some of the strongest artists at PHS. The art exhibition included sculptures, paintings and digital art, all rendering the unique, individual styles of their creators.

"I have found that I love showing off my student's work, whether it be an art competition or exhibition or just in my display case," said AP art teacher Heather Armstrong. "I also love class critiques and working directly with students to guide, motivate and inspire." AP Studio is not a test-heavy class, but requires problem-solving skills, creativity and hard work. Armstrong created a great environment for her students to better their chances of succeeding without step-by-step guidelines.

"Art adds so much to our world, both for the viewers and the creators. As an art teacher, the greatest value to what happens in my classroom is the opportunity to be creative and to come up with new solutions," said Armstrong. "This ability benefits all of my students, whether or not they pursue art as a career. I am very proud of each of them and very excited to see how they do with College Board."
