Never before has Plainfield High School sent a sophomore to boys cross country State -- until this year. Sophomore Ryan Evans and senior Jakob Nehring represented this year -- and despite the fact that they did not place, both boys indicated the experience was well worth the effort to get there.

Counting down the days until Halloween, Sophomore Elaine Hermert is captivated fully by the holiday. Hermert enjoys all parts of Halloween. From the candy to the costumes, she's fond of it all.

Then plan on attending the Orchestra Concert on October 30, which will be full of showtunes.

PHS staff and students will have a break from their typical schooling on Wednesday, October 23, with Preparing for College and Careers Day (PCC day.)

Senior Zyon Harris and junior Abigail Coulombe have been recognized as Area 31's outstanding students this month. The award highlights and praises students who have worked hard in their Area 31 classes throughout the school year thus far.

Toys for Tots

The Marine Corps Reserves are hosting a Toys for Tots drive at this Friday's Homecoming Football game vs. Decatur Central. Former Marine and Plainfield parent Mike Simek is spearheading this donation drive for Homecoming on Friday.

On September 22nd, 2024, the official first day of autumn graced us with its chill breeze and rainy skies. All over Plainfield, people are getting ready for the most anticipated season in a multitude of ways.
