35th annual food drive
Calling all students, the 35th annual food drive is here! The food all goes locally to St. Marks which is the main food drive in Plainfield.
Teacher Stacey Peters explained the importance teachers have in the food drive. "First period teachers tend to be the driving force for the food drive and I thank them for that," said Peters. "The students definitely kick in as well and we do a competition that helps for more donations."
When it comes to participating in the event, Peters explained the key factor is to encourage other people. "When you think of others it's a beautiful thing. It's not a huge sacrifice to bring some food in," said Peters. "I tell my own kids think not only of your own interests but the interests of others."
