Academic Superbowl Hendricks County Competition
The Plainfield High School Academic Super Bowl team won 2nd place in the Hendricks County Competition on March 5. Social Studies placed 1st, while Math and Science placed 3rd.
Math teacher Stacey Peters explained what the Academic Super Bowl is. "It is an academic competition in five subjects: Math, Science, Social studies, Fine Arts, and English on a certain topic," he said. "This year it was based on the 1980's and 1990's."

When participating in the Academic Super Bowl, lots of fun memories can be made. "One of my favorite memories is winning, which the students have done lots of over the last few years," noted Peters. "Also, it is really fun to watch the students nerd out on a subject."
To students interested in joining, Peters had one thing to say: "Give it a try. You get to hang around others and invest in ways that are actually enjoyable."
