Clue Auditions
Interested in intrigue, mystery and a little bit of humor? If so, acting in "Clue" might be for you! So far, more than 50 students have signed up to perform in the spring play, and one of those students could be you.
Emily Astroski, who is one of two theater directors, explains the basic expectations of the audition.
"We have provided cuttings from the script, and we will allow each student to read for at least two roles, perhaps three of their choosing," said Astroski. "We do expect everyone to be prepared to read for any and all characters if invited by the casting team. We may do a little improv for some characters as well. They don't have to do the cuttings from memory, and we will also have call backs the following evening to narrow the field and make final decisions."
Although the task may seem daunting, especially to newer auditionees, Astroski assures those who are interested that it isn't as hard as it seems.
"We always remind students that we are on their team. We are not there to criticize their work. We are there to see what they have to offer, and to choose the cast that best fits the vision the director has in his head for the show. We encourage them to have fun with the process."
Auditions will take place on Monday, February 3rd, with one session lasting from 3:30 to 5:30, and the other session going from 6:00 to 8:00. Contact Ms. Astroski for more information, and the google classroom to sign up.
