Financial aid night

On Tuesday, September 17th, the annual Financial Aid took place in the auditorium and ellipse after school at 6:00. Many students gathered to learn about financial aid, college options and the FAFSA.

Senior Julie Perez was one of those students in attendance, and found the event to be crucial to any upcoming college student.

"The prep for college and careers night was mainly about financial aid and different ways you and your family can pay for college," said Perez. "I would say that it was really helpful for me and my family."

In addition to that, it was also a night dedicated to helping students find scholarships and opportunities to help with finances. For Parez, this night should be marked on the calendar for any upcoming senior for years to come.

"I would definitely recommend this event," said Perez. "I think it's really important to get even a little bit of a head start with college planning even before your senior year, or at least have an idea of what the college planning process will look like."
