Eid Celebration
On Friday, April 19, MSA and Cultural Awareness Club will be holding an Eid celebration after school starting at 3 p.m. and ending approximately at 5:30 p.m.
"Students should show up to try new (free) foods and experience cultural traditions, like getting henna tattoos," said senior Isra Badar. "It will be a great way to have fun while broadening your horizons."
This Eid celebration is a way to educate students and staff more about Eid and how Muslims go about celebrating it. "In the United States, Muslims don't get Eid off as an official holiday – I've personally had to take an AP Exam on Eid before," said Badar. "I think if people knew more about Eid and its importance to Muslims, we could help create a more inclusive environment."

Posters are hung up throughout the school with information about Eid, and students are encouraged to attend this Eid celebration to enjoy the fun games and food, while also being introduced to Muslim culture.
