Environmental Club Plarn-Making
The environmental club is proud to announce their next project: plarn. Club member senior Cameron Haughawout explained what exactly plarn is.
"Plarn is plastic yarn, and what you do is you cut up plastic and kind of make these strips out of it," said Haughawout. "With these strips you turn them into these ropes and you can crochet and knit with it."
"With this plarn, we plan to make mattress beds for the homeless," said Haughawout.
Haughawout explained the importance of charity work. "There's a lot of problems we have today that are new," said Haughawout. "There are issues popping up day after day, and in order to solve these issues, we need to work around them. That's why charity work is so important because you have this community of people that is working towards one goal to make the world a better place."
