Fall Orchestra Concert
Love musicals? Love movies?
Then plan on attending the Orchestra Concert on October 30, which will be full of showtunes.
Director Fritz Graf said the piece he has the highest expectations for is "Locus Iste" by Anton Bruckner. "This piece looks very easy to look at on a piece of paper, but to play it effectively is the challenge," he said. "They have spent a lot of time in rehearsal and hopefully, practicing at home. I think, on the whole, they are prepared."
The piece that Graf is most excited about for each orchestra is "'Starlight' by Mattew Bellamy for the Advanced Orchestra, "Game of Thrones" by Ramin Djawadi, "The Greatest Showman Melody" by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul for Symphonic Orchestra and "Now I See The Light" by Alan Menken and David Kemp."
He added, "Each of the orchestras has a piece that I think is fun."
The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium.
