Marching Band State Finals
On Saturday, November 9th, the Red Pride Marching Band went to state finals for the first time since 2018.
Senior Adam Jones, a four year member of the marching band, recounted the event. "Stepping out onto the field, I felt exhilarated. I was locked in from the start, ever since warm-up," said Jones. "Lucas Oil wasn't a shock to me since we had already been there earlier in the season, but this time, we were more prepared than ever to go out there and kill it."
In the end, the group placed fourth in overall Class B competition, the second highest placement in school history. "Personally I'm proud of how far we've come as a group. When I started in marching band, we were in a rebuilding period, and now we're here," said Jones. "I'm proud of everyone involved, and I hope the group continues to grow and break more records."
