MSA Callout Meeting

The speaker finishes talking, and the audience shuffles out of the room, on their way to enjoy their delicious dinner. Each year, the Muslim Student Association hosts an event at the mosque, where club members get together and listen to a speaker discuss topics they're curious about, regarding Islam.
This year, the call-out meeting for MSA will be Thursday, August 24, at 7:30 a.m. or 3:10 p.m. (depending on the attendee's schedule), in F202. MSA is a club for not only Muslims, but for anyone curious about the religion of Islam who wants to learn more. "I love being exposed to new cultures and learning about people that I did not know beforehand," said senior Lily Saylor, explaining the reason she joined the club.
A few events that MSA has planned for this year are a dinner at the mosque, a Q&A with a speaker and some fundraisers. "I think it's important for students to join clubs such as this one because it exposes them to new experiences," said Saylor. "I think that making friends with people who have different backgrounds than you is a good way to open up your mind to new cultures."
