Operation Football
PHS had the honor of participating in Operation Football, a weekly broadcast on Channel 13 WTHR news that showcases a variety of central Indiana school's support and pride for their football team's season. The event took place at 5:30 a.m., September 29, on the football field.
"The best part was when the cameraman faced his camera in my direction," said junior Sidney Parks, describing her favorite part of the event. "It just hyped up everyone around me, including me, and it was fun to know we were being filmed and on TV."

The students made sure a lot of effort was put into showing the school spirit. "The cheerleaders and dancers helped us with cheers, and the band played some awesome music," explained Parks. "We were all there helping each other to show our full excitement because we really wanted that award."
Although Parks had to wake up very early, she believed the experience was worth it. "I'm glad I woke up early," said Parks, "because it was a fun morning that, looking back, I would not want to miss."
