PCC Day
On October 25, all sophomores and juniors will be administered the PSAT. For freshmen and seniors who are not taking the practice exam, several options are available.
All seniors are expected to either attend a college visit, complete a job shadow, volunteer for community service or work at a job site. Freshmen will also have the opportunity to visit a college or job shadow as well.
Director of Guidance Dave Owens explained that the goal of Preparing for College and Career (PCC) Day is to ensure that students are prepared for whatever path they choose to explore after high school. "It takes some time and research to explore the vast number of possible directions in a career path," said Owens.

With busy schedules and extracurricular activities, many students struggle to have the time to prepare for their futures. Owens explained that with PCC Day, students are given the opportunity to focus solely on their future goals.
"We encourage all students to shoot for the highest diploma and most challenging classes they are capable of to maximize their opportunities after they graduate," explained Owens. "Their chosen career path should be one that they are excited about, matches their interests and personality and will provide ample opportunity for employment and financial independence."
