Show Choir Workshop
Interested in singing, dancing and performing? Through April 19, dance workshops and auditions are being offered to join the choirs next school year. No prior experience is needed, and every student is welcome to participate.
The choir is an open-minded environment that welcomes anyone who is interested or that takes a liking. Students communicate their love and devotion to singing and dancing, while also getting to experience learning things about people they would never expect. "I have met so many of my closest friends in show choir and couldn't be more thankful to be a part of this community," said sophomore Aleia Williams.
When deciding whether or not choir is the right choice, one should consider the advantages and disadvantages, along with the importance of it. Just like any other sport, club or activity one participates in, time and effort is needed in order to be successful. Staying positive and devoted to what is important will push one to succeed and stay attentive. "A piece of advice I would give to someone who wants to join the choir is that as long as you put the work in, you will achieve so much more than you would think," said Williams.

Another thing to remember when deciding whether choir is the right fit is to keep in mind what one does with their time. If one is employed and has a busy and set schedule, choir may not be the best fit for them. "The disadvantage of show choir is that it is very time-consuming," explained Williams. "The most important thing to know is that the only competition you have is yourself. In the show choir nobody is perfect and we are all learning how to be amazing together."
