Students vs Staff Basketball Game Results

On Friday, April 24, the students won the Students vs. Staff basketball game 67 to 64.

Science teacher Caleb Moster explained the details of the game. "It's not like other basketball games; we modify the rules a bit to keep it fun," he said. "On top of that, it supports a good cause and shows a different side of some of the teachers. I think it builds school spirit."

Moster helped start up the basketball game back in 2022 with Key Club. "It's a fun way to celebrate the seniors," he explained.

Moster explained that what he was looking forward to the most was a competitive game. "A lot of students didn't think it would be close, but I felt pretty confident in my team and we delivered a close game," he noted.

Moster reflected on how the game went. "Both teams had a lot of players that played well, the teams were pretty balanced. I scored the most for the teacher team but had lots of good help," he said. "The students had a lot of guys step up, quite a few guys scored regularly: Will Freeman, Rylee Barton, Isaiah Miller and Connor Clark all had multiple buckets... but overall there wasn't a weak player on either team."

Moster said his favorite part about the game was his ability to bond with his students. "I love getting to play against some of the students I had in class or Key Club," he said. "I like to banter with them before and after, and build a new connection that I wasn't able to build in a classroom setting."
