Super Bowl recap
This past Sunday, the 59th annual Super Bowl took place. Across the nation, young and old watched with keen eyes to see which lucky team, Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles, would champion this year. PHS Football player senior Matthew Lazaro was one of these onlookers, "I'm more into college football, but I did watch the Super Bowl," said Lazaro. "I was rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles."
The Kansas City Chiefs have won the Super Bowl a total of four times, and Lazaro was happy that the Philadelphia Eagles got a chance to catch up. "I was really happy when they won. I was hoping that they would win the last time with both of the Kelce brothers, but I'm happy that they won this year," said Lazaro. "My favorite highlight of the night was when I realized that they were gonna win and there was no chance that the Chiefs were gonna come back and win the Super Bowl again."
Lazaro has been watching Football televised since he was a child, and draws his inspiration from what he saw then. "I definitely prefer playing football over watching it," said Lazaro. "My biggest inspiration in Football is probably Jason Kelce, seeing how good he was when I was growing up made me want to do better."
