Annual Choir Concert

On Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, December 9 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., the show choir will hold its Christmas Concert, "Christmas is Coming," to celebrate the holiday season. Tickets are $15 for reserved seating and $10 for general seating.
For this annual event, the choir has practiced for a long time, perfecting their performance. "These Christmas shows are very good, and we have to practice a lot," explained sophomore Jarah Russell. "We've had many extra rehearsals and we've been working on these songs in class for a long time."
Along with solo performances, there will also be group performances, giving a wide range of entertainment for those in attendance. "I am in Femmes Fatales, which is the all-girls group, and I'm also singing a solo," said Russell. After honing her skills for almost two years, Russell has become a strong member of the show choir. "When I first joined, I was so nervous that everyone was judging me all the time," said Russell. "But now that I've been in it, it's been a lot more fun because I realized that everyone's just trying to make it and do their best, so no one's really judging anyone that hard."
For Russell, show choir has been a very positive experience – one that brought her happiness and a supportive environment. "I just love singing and dancing because it's just something I really like to do," said Russell. "And I just love the environment, because everyone's really supportive of each other and just really nice, and it's just fun to make new friends and meet new people."
