White Christmas Musical
Our talented students and staff will be putting on a musical that many are encouraged to come watch. Based off the 1954 musical White Christmas originally written by Irving Berlin, the musical will follow Bob and Phil, two war veterans and their journey in show business.
"I know that I grew up watching the movie White Christmas and my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents love the movie," said senior Madeline Yocum. "If one grew up watching it, they will love it. There is a little bit of everything with dancing, serious moments, humor, and love."
Yocum plays a housekeeper in an inn that Bob and Phil landed in who will end in a plot twist no one will expect. "This is my favorite role I have ever had," said Yocum. "I'm having so much fun."

Following the concept of past plays, White Christmas will have many dance scenes, from tap dancing to waltzing. "I know that musicals I have done in the past had some dancing, but this is such a dance heavy show," said Yocum. The amount of dances will make this specific musical stand out from the rest, and will truly show the actors talents.
For about three months, the actors have been rehearsing and perfecting their roles so that they will put on an unforgettable performance. "Within this time we have to learn our lines, the songs and the dances," said Yocum. "I know I have a 7th period study hall, so often during this time I will go over lines and dances and use it to prepare."
The musical will last about two hours, with an intermission in the show. Tickets will be sold for $15 for adults and $10 for students and 65 years or more.
